When I was younger, I used to be sooooo good at creating web layouts and what not. NOW I don't remember ANYTHING and it's making me really sad.  I used to mess around with HTML codes all the time and steal some from other pages, but now it's just like a faint memory. I hope I gain some of my skills back becuase I used to spend hours doing my pages..D:

In class

So we are doing font stuff today and it reminded me of what I did in 2d art.. I used letters and symbols to recreate an art piece from a famous artist.

It looks like he works mainly with photoshop and illustrator
and it reminded me of what we are doing in class ( combining words and what not)

pig tree

I'm working on my pig tree, I have a lot of really small details in mine so it's taking FOREVER!!
For some reason, when I open my file it put all my layers into 1 Layer so I can't really change anything. So, I just decided to start somewhere else on my picture.  I'm excited to see how it turns out!

Critique Day

I was really impressed today with all of the work I saw. Sadly, I accidentally printed the wrong size :( boohoo.  well i saw the vertical pieces and i wanted to see what mine would look like vertical...

So I'm having trouble taking pictures of the person I want in my song project... it looks sort of awkward. I'm gonna try again this weekend. It was probably because the lighting was so bad when I took my first set. I'm so excited that I get to play with my nikon! ( :

New Project

So I've decided to choose Bjork-All the Modern Things.... It kind of feels ethnic, and natural with bits of technical sounds.
I want to do something with like an underwater safari with a thing/person trying to find something it/he or she has lost..
I'm just basically thinking of this through the sounds and melodies, and not the lyrics.

Repair

So, this is sort of a review for me; I haven't used photoshop since I was in 9th grade, so the only tools I remembered were clone stamp and healing brush ( :  There are a lot of new additions since I used it back then, I think I used photoshop 7.  I learned a couple of new things too.

So, I didn't go to class on thursday because of lunar new years, so I did what I could. It was a busy weekend for me :( I couldn't do much.. but here it is

Partying by myself

So I am sitting in class thinking of how to take pictures of myself for the next practice photoshop project. I don't have a camera anymore because it got stolen, but I like my phones camera better anyway... Now I just need somebody to take my pictures for me...

My Living Room

Well, I am gonna do this project in my living room because it is newly furnished and painted and I love it because I got to choose the color and furniture. I am probably going to incorporate my theatre background into this also.. For example, me conversing with myself or dressed in different outfits, pretending to be different people.

First Homework

So, for the first homework we had to take pictures of something dark or moody and something wild, surreal or abstract.  I remembered some things I learned way back in 9th grade, but most of it I forgot.  This brought back a lot of the things I learned so it wasn't so difficult for me.  I had some trouble because I kept clicking on the wrong layers. Lol. So here's what I created for "Wild"

It was originally a wild looking plant and I just added a bunch of other plants around it.

#3 Process is more important than outcome.

When the outcome drives the process we will only ever go to where we've already been. If process drives outcome we may not know where we’re going, but we will know we want to 
be there.


No one has ever really told me that, and if it's considered common sense then I sure am lacking some. I'm always striving to complete and finish things quickly because there's never enough time in a day, week, month or year. I just go through the process without thought, and end up with my product ( that I'm almost never completely satisfied with). So, maybe if I take the time to think through the process, then I might be more satisfied with my results.
